After two days of rain there was sun! Leaving the city was a bit confusing, After crossing the river three times I was finally on the right track and back in Quebec. I thought about taking a scenic route through Gidineau park, wrong decision, there was no easy and short route through the park so I decided to turn back and follow a provincial road to the town of Alymer.

Crossing he Ottawa river back into Quebec
Here I got on to highway 148 and I followed this all the way to the 303 where I crossed a few hydro dams back into Ontario.

Just before I crossed the river I got a flat tire, some kind of metal staple stuck out of my back tire, when I pulled it out the rest of the tire deflated in seconds. Got is fixed in about ten minutes and on I went.

Love these old farm buildings
The day before Norah in Ottawa arranged for me to stay with people in Beachburg. After another 20km I arrived in the little town of Beachburg. Here I was welcomed by Greg and Macy who let me sleep upstairs. We had a nice dinner of homemade pasta and ceaser salad. They live in a really nice house on the main street. Their friend Ben came over that night who drove across Canada on a bicycle as well, from east to west. He did this in less than a month, with a minimum of a 160km a day. After looking at maps and listening to tips we discussed the world's politics and laws.
For a living they are raft instructors in the summer and outdoor educators in the winter period. This is a course I might want to take in the future to become a adventure guide.
